Started a bit later today than usual because I had to hitch to the trailhead this morning and I didn’t think I had a good chance of finding a ride if I left at 6am ?
I also learned today that when you ask mother nature for a favor, you should be specific. I kept asking for her to hold off the rain until later, so instead she have me hail ☄️ Tiny ice pelting me from the side. I just had to laugh ?
The hike today was gorgeous! Beautiful views at the pass, valleys filled with huge green trees, and the streams had some the clearest water I’ve ever seen in the wilderness ?
Even though I started late, I was still able to do 20+ miles in 8 hrs, so I was pretty proud of that! But that meant that when I got to camp at 3:30 and set up my tent, I passed the hell out for an hour long nap while a thunderstorm came rolling in.
Only 53 more miles to go!!!
